Job Summary The Assistant Director of Health Center Operations reports to the Dean of Student Holistic Health and provides oversight for activities of the Student Health Facility. The Assistant Director manages and monitors the daily activities being performed according to the department and organization goals and objectives. This position also provides long and short-range strategic planning and fiscal management, ensures effective communication throughout the department and organization, conducts evaluations of departmental activities to ensure current professional standards are met and makes recommendations for change when required, and assesses the department utilizing baseline data and performance improvement studies to determine work efficiency and improvements. Responsibilities Establish operational policies and procedures and make any necessary modifications, based on analysis of operations, demographics, and other research information Design or use assessments to monitor the outcomes of a program or department initiative; Prepare and review reports on academic or institutional data. Participate in professional development opportunities created for supervisors and advisors With awareness of institutional funding priorities, identify and research fundable programs, events, and projects Promote the college by participating in the community, state, and national events or meetings, and by developing partnerships with industry and secondary education institutions Coordinate and facilitate health testing events; including but not limited to oversight and evaluation of immunization verification Provide students with appropriate health care resource information; perform outreach as necessary; assist medical providers with daily operations and student communication Forecast and prepare all medical supply orders, and ensure all vendors are paid from appropriate funding sources in accordance with BOR and purchasing guidelines Collaborate with Student Health Service outlets throughout the University System of Georgia to incorporate best practices and student health industry standards into GGC policies and practices. Perform other duties, as assigned. Required Qualifications 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree Four to five years of administrative office experience 1+ years of supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Experience in higher education, health sciences Five or more years of administrative office experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office USG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
