Contingent Caregiver

Job Summary: Sigma HomeCare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Contingent Direct Care Workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with severe mental illness (SMI), serious emotional disturbance (SED), and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) on an as-needed basis. The Contingent Direct Care Worker will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and supportive environment. This role is essential in helping our clients lead fulfilling lives within their communities.Key Responsibilities:Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide mobility support, including transfers and positioning, to ensure clients' comfort and safety.Daily Living Activities: Aid in meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional support tailored to each client's needs. Assist with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.Emotional and Social Support: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing companionship and emotional support. Facilitate social interaction and help clients develop and maintain social skills and relationships.Health Monitoring and Medication Administration: Administer medications and monitor clients' health status as directed by healthcare professionals. Report any changes in clients' conditions to the supervisor promptly to ensure timely intervention.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care, activities, and progress. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Safety and Emergency Protocols: Follow established health and safety protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures. Monitor the physical environment for safety hazards and take corrective action as needed.
