Wendys Shift Leader

The Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations during assignedshifts, managing team members, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining foodsafety standards, a clean restaurant, and a positive work environment. The Shift Leadersupports the General Manager and Assistant Manager in driving operational successand upholding company values.Key Responsibilities:Leadership? Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members.? Demonstrate commitment to WKS Values: Integrity, Loyalty, Winning, Service, andTeamwork.? Enforce uniform and grooming standards and ensure compliance with workplaceconduct policies.? Communicate effectively with management and team members.? Promptly report claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hourviolations, bullying, workplace violence, or other inappropriate behavior to theDistrict Leader and Human Resources.Operations Management? Oversee restaurant opening and closing procedures, including security protocolsand cash handling.? Assist with food ordering, scheduling, and maintaining inventory levels.? Monitor and ensure compliance with walk-throughs and Wendy's CriticalChecklist.? Conduct internal self-assessments using company tools (TrueView) and ensurecompliance with Health Department and Wendy's Food Safety Audits.? Cover workstations and assist during breaks as needed.? Ensure compliance with company timekeeping policies and report any concernsto the supervisor.Customer Service? Ensure high levels of customer service by achieving company standards forFriendliness, Accuracy, Cleanliness, Speed, and Taste.? Resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner using companycustomer service processes (BLAST and the No Fault Policy).Financial Management? Assist with cash handling, smart safe, and POS systems (SBO.net).? Manage cash registers, phone calls, orders, and company funds. Exposure to heat, burn hazards, wet surfaces, and cleaning chemicals.? Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor conditions.Requirements:? Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant setting.? Must be at least 18 years of age.? High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework preferred.? Excellent leadership and communication skills.? Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.? Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.? Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.? Knowledge of health and safety regulations as required by Wendy's International,WKS, and applicable local and state laws.? ServSafe certification required.? Proficiency with cash handling, smart safe, and POS systems (SBO.net).? Comfortable with email and company technology platforms (WKSConnect,WeLearn, etc.).? Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.? Access to reliable transportation to report to scheduled shifts, trainings, andmeetings.?
