The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.Role OverviewReporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, the Senior Director, Enterprise Risk Management is a key leader within the Risk Management and Information Security team, responsible for helping to shape Cboe’s risk culture and organizational resilience. This role plays a critical part in advancing Cboe’s commitment to strengthening its three lines of defense and maturing enterprise risk management processes across the organization. The position requires strategic vision, cross-functional collaboration, and deep expertise in risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.Responsibilities:Driving the risk management framework implementation and ongoing maintenance within the U.S.Collaborating closely with the business as well as other control function leaders to ensure an integrated three lines of defenseActing as a trusted advisor to senior executives, shaping risk strategy, and embedding risk management principles into business planning and operational executionPreparing and presenting regular risk dashboards, reports, and insights to senior management, advising on emerging trends and issuesMaintaining knowledge of current and emerging best practices, including regulatory expectations, for risk managementCollaborating with the business to develop meaningful key performance indicators and key risk indicators, enabling data-driven risk management and performance optimizationFostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management throughout the organizationThe Ideal Candidate Has:10+ years of progressive experience in risk managementBachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field; advanced degree preferredDeep knowledge of risk management principles and practicesRisk management experience in a Systemically Important Financial Institution or Systemically Important Financial Market UtilityExceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data to identify actionable insightsStrong presentation and communication skills with the ability to concisely convey complex risk framework components to diverse audiencesBenefits and Perks We value the total wellbeing of our people – including health, financial, personal and social wellness.
