Position Overview Associate Faculty Pool, Pharmacy Technician - Allied Health Education Program (PT Faculty) SALARY: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94LOCATION: Lynnwood Washington We are accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in the Pharmacy Technician Program on an ongoing basis. Typical requirements for part-time faculty in the Allied Health Education Department are listed below, along with a link to the department's web page. To be included in the part-time pool, please follow the application procedure below. Applications remain on file for one year. If you wish to remain in the part-time pool beyond that time, you can update and resubmit your online application yearly.  DESCRIPTION: Part-time instructors may be needed to teach Pharmacy Technician courses, including lecture, lab and clinical supervision. Instructors may also teach a variety of AHE prerequisite courses as well. Responsibilities will include: supervising/instructing in classroom and clinical/lab areas; developing and scheduling clinical externships for students and recruiting additional clinical sites to support courses. Allied Health Education courses are taught during the day, evening and weekend, both in traditional and online settings. For additional information about the classes or the Allied Health Education program, see the .REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Educational qualifications related to specific discipline (i.e. AA degree, Bachelor's degree).Current (or eligible for) State of Washington certification and/or licensure as Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.Teaching or training experience equivalent to one college quarter, or desire to teach.Three years of full-time work experience in pharmacy setting in either retail or hospital. Excellent verbal, listening, problem-solving, critical thinking and writing skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated successful experience teaching in A college or clinical setting. Experience with multiple approaches to teaching and learning, such as incorporating a variety of technologies into the classroom, teaching online or hybrid classes, or using other innovative techniques.Demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of teaching situations, including a wide range of student preparedness, backgrounds, and life experiences.Knowledge of computer skills used in pharmacy field, and ability to apply technology to pharmacy curriculum.Experience with educational technology and online teaching methods.Ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, staff and students as part of an educational team.PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is typically performed in a variety of settings including classrooms, skills labs and off campus clinical sites. Standing or sitting for long periods of time may occur in any of the settings mentioned. The ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English is essential. COMPENSATION:The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step A.
