Take a tour of Chart City to get a feel of how Chart equipment solutions impact our daily lives. Chart Industries is looking for a Senior Accountant, onsite or hybrid, based in our office in The Woodlands, TX. The Senior Accountant role is a key position for the finance & accounting department within the Heat Transfer Systems segment, reporting to the Senior Controller. You'll be involved in a wide range of accounting activities, including month-end closing and financial reporting. What Will You Do? Lead specific daily, weekly and month-end close processes, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for third-party and intercompany accounts.Maintain general ledger integrity, perform reconciliations and variance analysis.Prepare and analyze gross margins, cost of sales, and profitability.Support budgeting and financial reporting for regional operationsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.Research accounting issues and information and adapt processes as needed to maintain internal control integrity.Maintain ERP (JDE) master data and support system improvements.Assist with audits, tax filings, revenue recognition, lease management, job costing, set up and closure of jobs and cash management.Collaborate with AP to ensure accurate invoice coding, vendor payments and vendor progress accounting.Record fixed asset transactions (acquisition, disposal, transfer, etc.) in the subledger and record monthly depreciation.Oversee and assist in process improvement projects as needed.All other duties as assigned.Your Experience Should Be... Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree with CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.3–7 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment.Familiarity with ASC 606 / POC accounting.Strong analytical and systems skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel & ERP (JDE preferred) skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.High energy with a positive attitude and the ability to handle high work volume.Enthusiastic, eager to learn and take on new challenges.Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.Must be able to prioritize tasks and shift focus as necessary.Our Benefits Package... Medical, dental and vision insuranceEmployer contributions to an HSA accountHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverageBasic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverageUp to two weeks of paid family leave401k retirement savings plan including a company match
