At Gordon Food Service, our customers come first. Our highly skilled, customer-focused sales team is seeking a Director of Sales to collaborate with Sales Managers, Regional Managers, and the Broadline Sales Director to achieve commercial sales goals. This position is located in Miami, Florida, but supports a team with territories in Vero Beach to the North and Key West to the south of Florida.Leadership at Gordon Food ServiceAt Gordon Food Service, our leaders create win/win relationships with customers, employees, and vendors. This role requires significant thought leadership and people leadership.While no two days will look alike, here is a snapshot of some of the things you'll be doing: Assume global accountability for commercial sales through the development, management, and evaluation of process improvement programs Lead a department of more than 64 people, including up to 8 direct reportsSupport and implement educational plans to develop staff, and guide leaders within the organization aroundworkforce planning, employee engagement, and disciplinary issuesAnalyze key performance indicators and statistical data to formulate division practicesDevelop, monitor, and manage the capital and operational budget for the departmentCollaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the best candidates are brought into the team, and leverage strong business acumen through partnerships with the warehouse and transportation teamsAll kinds of other special projectsTotal Rewards at GFSAffordable plans starting on your first dayWeekly pay Wellness reimbursement Profit sharing & 401(k) with company match Emergency child and elder care Does this look like you?Experience dealing with ambiguity in an ever-changing market is preferred.14+ years of industry experience Previous management experience of teams of 50-75 peopleBachelors degree required
