Posting Summary The Senior Genomics Technician plays a key role in supporting the Genomics Core’s research mission by performing advanced laboratory sample processing, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, and quality control for a broad range of nucleic acid–based applications. This position independently executes complex workflows, maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation, supports investigator consultations, and contributes to the development and implementation of new genomic technologies and services. This role also provides training and mentorship to junior staff, supports multi-investigator and multi-institutional projects, and participates in institutional educational and outreach activities. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience with NGS library preparation and nucleic acid extraction. Demonstrated proficiency with NGS instrumentation and QC equipment. Experience troubleshooting molecular assays and developing custom workflows. Strong organizational, communication, and project-coordination skills. Desirable Qualifications Experience working in a core facility or shared resource environment. Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field. Knowledge of LIMS systems (iLab preferred). Experience training staff or students. Familiarity with multi-platform workflows involving microscopy, flow cytometry, or proteomics. Anticipated Pay Range $28.25-$30/hourBenefitsundefined
