Job Description Job Title : Faith Formation Assistant, Part-time (25 hrs./wk.) Reports to : Director of Faith Formation and/or Pastor Location: St. Elizabeth Seton | Naples, FL Classification : Hourly/Non-exempt Overview The Faith Formation Assistant is a first point of contact for adults, teens, and children who approach the church for faith formation and sacramental preparation. The FF Assistant supports the FF Director in establishing a cultural of hospitality, pastoral care, and evangelization. In addition, this position assists all office functions and supports the many programs of the Faith Formation Office. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Job Responsibilities Greet all visitors to the Faith Formation office. Answer, screen and route incoming calls to the parish staff promptly, accurately and courteously. Provide answers to caller questions and assistance when appropriate. Maintenance of sacramental records, including reporting to other churches, handwritten documentation in sacramental books and computer records. Maintenance of data for Events and Faith Formation programs: registrations, fees, attendance, student files, catechists and volunteers. Assist with preparation for various events and programs and maintain adequate supplies. Aide in the recruitment, training, and certification of volunteers to assist with tasks where needed. Communicate with catechists and parents as needed, via email and phone. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a position with similar responsibilities preferred. Must be a practicing Roman Catholic. Excellent communications skills both written and oral. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Strong organization skills. Must be able to pass FBI Level II background check. Bi-lingual English & Spanish, both written and spoken.
