National Account Executive

Position Purpose: The National Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining a lease portfolio consisting of Private Fleets and Large For-Hire Carriers (>500 Trucks in Fleet) as well as supporting current National Account Customers in their assigned AOR. Position Responsibilities: Identify, research, develop and close new customer business as well as maintaining and nurturing existing customer business. Manage relationships and development of existing accounts while ensuring portfolio growth adherence to company policies. Utilize Salesforce effectively and efficiently following company protocols and workflows through the entire life cycle of the customer and their related transactions. Work inbound leads identified and or directed by management that are true National Account Targets Conduct thorough discovery with prospects to develop mutually beneficial solutions that bring value to both entities. Negotiate lease terms with customers within defined protocols and communicate as protocols and workflows dictate. Monitor transactions to ensure contracts are executed timely, as agreed to by the customer along with the pickup and or delivery of equipment. Accountable for monitoring appropriate timely flow of renewals, lease terminations, and inventory management under Executive’s portfolio. Provide input, implementation, and target key prospects in AOR growth strategy. Provide feedback to management on competition in assigned AOR. Ensure position SOPs are maintained and up to date. Attend state and some national association and marketing events as directed. Maintains good working knowledge of all products and services offered by TEL. Work with credit and collections on credit underwriting, deal implementation, and collection process. Adhere to all SOP’s and Company Policies. Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent corporate level sales skills Strong Salesforce skills and utilization Excellent understand of leasing concepts along with math proficiency to model lease transactions Ability to productively work with management and support departments to problem solve and provide an outstanding customer experience. Have positive, high energy and desire to work hard to accomplish goals. Keep in touch with overall truck, trailer and transportation market trends and disrupters. Be coachable and have desire to learn new skill sets. Strong Microsoft Office including Excel skills. Good understanding of financial statements and what business practices are used to affect positive results from an operational standpoint. Good understanding of how Private Fleets operate and how TEL can add value with service and product offerings to effect profitability and cash flow. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in “Business Management” or applicable business field or combination of equivalent experience and education. Five or more years of experience in B2B sales in the transportation industry. Position performance Expectations: Identify 100+ Target Prospects Annually to engage for Both Truck and Trailer Lease Business. Target Prospects are Private Fleets and For Hire Carriers with >500 Trucks in their fleet. Weekly Property visits to comprehensively cover their assigned AOR to develop new business and grow existing business. Travel >80% of the time to adequately cover all areas of assigned AOR Add a minimum of 10 New Private Fleet Customers each year with either trucks and/or trailers on lease Add 300 New Trailers on lease with both new and existing private fleet customers. Add 30 New Trucks on lease with both new and existing private fleet customers. Identify decision-maker(s) within each targeted prospect, engage with and build relationship with the contacts for 60% of targeted Private Fleet Prospects within a given year. Gain understanding of each company’s asset procurement strategy and timeline of making procurement decisions. Generate a minimum of $750K in revenue growth annually.
