This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.Responsible for providing direction and leadership to designated staff. Maintain product integrity and oversee engineering initiatives. Coordinate and collaborate with Construction, Dispatch, Warehouse, Technical Operations and Care operations to ensure optimal customer experience. Responsible for purchasing, budgeting, deployment of new products, assisting with capital projects and the hiring, training, development, and performance management of staff.Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Provide overall direction for all areas of engineering support for system locations regarding new and existing technologies and current operating standards.Consult with managers regarding technical operations and strategic planning of rebuilds, network operations and dispatch, new product development and deployment.Evaluate and consult with managers regarding construction projects, capital budget items and equipment requirements.Provide quality assurance support and direction to engineering staff regarding new or existing technologies, company technical quality assurance (TQA) standards.Maintains good relations with local utilities, vendors, contractors, and government agencies.Monitor and provide guidance in the capital budget process to ensure projects are cost effective, completed on time, and on budget.Monitor current procedures and tests performed in accordance with FCC standards to ensure compliance.Develop an effective front line Leadership team and assist them with developing their direct reports as to drive a high-performance culture and environment.Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support.Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.Know, understand, and follow company policy.Perform other duties as requested by manager.Required Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to provide coaching and counseling when necessaryAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Knowledge of company products and servicesKnowledge of Electronic theory, Federal Communications Commission regulations and Fiber Optic theoryDemonstrated leadership qualities with proven ability to provide effective, results oriented directionAbility to maintain confidentialityKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standardsRequired EducationBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experienceIndustry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years1+ year Project Management work experience preferred2+ years of related supervisory experience preferred5+ years of Engineering experience preferredHFC and Networking experience preferred.Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of YearsProject Management work experience - 1+Engineering experience - 5+HFC and Networking experienceManagement or leadership experience - 2+WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentExposure to moderate noise levels50% Travel RequiredEOECharter Communications is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority/Female/Veteran/Disability#LLI-CJ1 EGN500 2025-63674 2025 Here, our employees don’t just have jobs, they're building careers.
