Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to lead and expand sales of ready-mix concrete, hot mix asphalt, and a range of construction materials across Texas and Louisiana. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The position is based in Texas and reports directly to the Region President. Key Responsibilities · Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share for ready mix concrete, hot mix asphalt, and construction materials. · Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and industry research. · Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, and key stakeholders in the construction industry. · Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs. · Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction. · Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, logistics, technical support) to ensure seamless service delivery. · Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions. · Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators. · Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. · Prepare regular reports and updates for the Region President on business development activities and results. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). · Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales or business development experience in the construction materials industry. · Strong knowledge of ready-mix concrete, hot mix asphalt, and construction material markets in Texas. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. · Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships. · Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. · Willingness to travel within Texas as needed.
