Position Summary The Cashier utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Prepares and serves coffe and food items to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. This role will pay an hourly wage of $17 to $19. EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline About the Venue We are located on the main campus of Green River College in Auburn, Wa. We run the cafeteria and two barista stands that serves students, staff and visitors on the campus. We have multiple stations that serve a variety of food options. We are open Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm and Friday 7am - 2pm. Responsibilities Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction. Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Concessions Stand Manger of low stock items. Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes. Produce and serve coffee beverages. Serve cutomers grab and go items such as baked goods and pizza. Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be 18 or over Past Barista experiance preferred. Previous cash handling experience preferred. Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
