Perform specialized invasive radiologic procedures supporting diagnostic evaluations under the direction of a Radiologist. This contract opportunity is based in Ann Arbor, MI, offering the chance to apply advanced imaging skills in a dynamic clinical environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding.Collect and review relevant medical history to guide imaging processes.Administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions as prescribed.Set up and operate sophisticated imaging equipment, adhering strictly to protocols.Assist Radiologists during complex invasive diagnostic procedures.Maintain sterile environments and manage supplies such as needles and catheters.Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures.Ensure image quality and accuracy through manual equipment control and Quality Assurance measures.Manage imaging data efficiently within PACS and RIS, confirming study details and resolving exceptions.Support training initiatives for new staff and students.Uphold radiation safety principles, employing ALARA techniques.Demonstrate excellent professionalism, communication, and teamwork consistent with organizational standards.Desired Qualifications:Credentialed Radiology Technologist with specialized experience in invasive imaging procedures.Proficiency in contrast media administration and IV preparation.Strong understanding of radiation safety and image quality standards.Experience using PACS and RIS systems.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.Effective communication skills and a patient-focused approach.About Ann Arbor, MI:Ann Arbor is a vibrant city known for its cultural richness, excellent educational institutions, and high quality of life.
