Apply Job Type Full-time Description With general supervision, the Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the completed engine and/or component meets the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers.Review and evaluate all maintenance documentation for completed/assembled productRecord and communicate findings legibly and precisely to operations manager and customer program managerPerform dimensional and visual inspections utilizing appropriate technical documentsPerform minor disassembly and assembly in accordance with inspection requirementsFollow all company policies including safety instructionsMaintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practicesWorking knowledge of FAA requirements for repair stations (14 CFR Part 145 and Part 43)Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutionsAssist with continuous improvement and cost reduction programsServe as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programsOther related duties as assigned by the supervisorCompetencies · Read/Comprehend· Write· Perform Calculations· Communicate Orally· Reason and AnalyzePhysical DemandsDuring the job the employee is required to:· Bend, Squat, Kneel, Climb, or Balance.· Reach with hands and arms and perform operations requiring fine motor skills and dexterity· Sit, Stand, Walk, Push/Pull, Talk or Hear, and Handle Objects. Requirements Required Education and Experience:· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the inspection of aircraft components and documentation· Proper use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, CMM’s, and other basic inspection tools· Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings and OEM manualsPreferred Education and Experience:· A&P Mechanic, or prior holder of Repairman Certificate· Prior experience in issuing FAA Form 8130-3’sThe statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
