Electrical Engineer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including healthcare, education, public safety, commercial, and industrial.At EAPC, our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance.Responsibilities include:Provide electrical design, detailing, and calculations as required for all phases of the design of new buildings and structures, as well as additions to and renovations of existing buildings and structuresCoordinate electrical designs with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.Edit and write electrical specificationsPerform electrical investigations and feasibility studies, including the writing of reports and providing cost estimates when requiredProvide mentorship/training to EIT-level staffProvide direction to BIM Modelers as required to complete electrical drawingsPerform construction administration activities such as the review of material shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs and construction questions, construction site visits, etc.Perform site visits as required to field verify existing conditions, dimensions, elevations, etc.Assist project managers in the development of internal design budgets and schedules as requiredAssist the department manager in determining anticipated project scope, deliverables, fees, etc., as required to complete proposals to provide electrical engineering services to external clientsAssist with and negotiate contracts with customers/clientsAssist in the development of engineering standards, policies, and proceduresQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering10+ years of experience in a firm or consulting environment preferredRegistration as a Professional EngineerProject management and business development understandingExperience in 3D modeling, visualization, and modeling software; REVIT, SKM, and AutoCAD strongly preferredWorking knowledge of engineering systemsEffective verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skillsProblem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learnCollaborative and professional work ethicAbility to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projectsWillingness to travel as required to meet project and corporate demandsAbility to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplinesValid driver's licenseEligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorshipResponsibilities and title will be based on the qualifications and experience level of the candidate. The position will report directly to the Electrical Engineering Department Lead and will work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians.Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000/year. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of the posting.
