They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative, hands-on environment with exceptional leadership and outstanding opportunities for career growth.The RoleThis Director of Business Development position offers the opportunity to independently craft sales strategies, develop a high-performing team, and accelerate revenue growth in government and commercial markets. The ideal candidate will bring proven sales expertise, leadership abilities, and experience navigating complex, extended sales cycles. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll lead a team of sales professionals and drive organizational success.Core ResponsibilitiesMonitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform business strategies and ensure competitive advantageManage complex, multi-year contract negotiationsBuild, mentor, and lead a sales teamPersonally close high-value deals while coaching team members through their sales cyclesEstablish strong relationships with government contractors and commercial decision-makersDevelop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for government and commercial marketsCollaborate with technical teams to deliver product demonstrationsIdentify and close new business opportunities across diverse sectors and geographiesDiversify revenue streams into the commercial spaceDevelops and leads capture efforts/win strategies, technical solutions, and partnershipsRequirementsTrack record of building and leading high-performing sales teamsBachelor's degree in Business or related fieldEligibility for Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Security ClearanceCRM Expertise: Experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot to track and manage sales processes, metrics, and forecastsAbility to balance strategic planning with hands-on sales execution5-10 years of business development and sales leadership experience, preferably in commercial tech or tech solutions, with a track record of exceeding targets and driving sales growthExperience with long sales cycles and multi-year contract negotiationsProven government contracting background with established relationships in the federal/military spaceTravel: Ability to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong commercial sales experience with demonstrated success closing complex B2B and B2G dealsBenefitsCompetitive base salary: $180,000 - $210,000Attractive quarterly bonus structure with significant earning potentialComprehensive benefits packageRelocation assistance available for qualified candidatesEqual Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination PolicyEqual Employment Opportunity Statement: Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
