Job Summary:Assists nurses and physicians with general endoscopic procedures and related services. Other duties as assigned. =EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One year experience working in a patient care setting is required.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician or EMT education program is required. In lieu of education; two years experience as a GI Technician will be accepted.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Good interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize, concentrate and pay close attention to details.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State Licensing is required for those that complete the CNA or EMT program. Completion of Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program within 6 months of hire.
