Job Summary:

The Maritime Project Control Analyst II is a key member of the Mission Systems, Engineering & Technology (MSET) team Responsible for all Project Control related policies, processes, procedures, staffing, training, and mentoring. This individual will be responsible for the project controls discipline across their assigned MSET Operating Companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of Project Control:

  • Costpoint project setup and reporting.

  • Revenue recognition rules and regulations.

  • Month-End close.

  • Customer invoicing.

  • Proactive cost and schedule variance analysis.

  • EAC development / EAC Reviews.

  • Forecasting development / Forecasting Reviews.

  • Unbilled analysis.

  • High risk/visibility program reviews.

  • Project A/R, A/P and DSO.

  • Provide direct project control support to projects as assigned as well as where needed to help fill gaps.

  • Work with Shared Services and Operations to provide support for new project transitions/phase-ins.

  • Regularly interface with and provide support/mentoring to the operating company Project Management and Project Controls POCs as needed.Communicate with the Project Management and Controls communities via Project Control forums, intranet postings and potentially conduct classroom lunch bunch and PM Excellence training sessions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Business-related field or commensurate experience.

  • Minimum 4 + years' experience working for a Federal Government Contractor.

  • EAC and ETC development / EAC and ETC Reviews.

  • Solid understanding of all contract types, FAR regulations, government compliance.

  • Recent Costpoint experience ( or more recent) with understanding of project setup module and reporting functions.

  • Process improvement background.

  • Cognos reporting.

  • Supervisory / Management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Costpoint and Costpoint reporting tools.

  • Costpoint implementation experience (Full life cycle from initial project setup).

  • Solid personnel management experience/skills, communication skills and ability to present to Senior Leadership.
