Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for our Practice in our Menlo Park, CA office. In this role, you will work as part of a team, perform tasks and execute projects related primarily to evaluation of building component and material failures, with particular emphasis on concrete and other cement-based materials. Applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of diverse and interesting civil engineering projects that will challenge their problem-solving skills. Applicant will also have the opportunity to work and collaborate on projects with Exponent professionals practicing in the other 90+ technical disciplines within the company; some of these projects are outside of the traditional civil engineering area. You will be responsible for Conducting field inspections and determining the root causes of failuresConducting laboratory testing and analysesGathering information and conveying complex technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry You will have the following skills and qualifications . in Civil/Structural Engineering with graduate level focus on concrete and cementitious materials3+ years of industry experience post-PhD Excellent and creative problem solving abilityOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teamsStrong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment. or . license or the ability to become licensed within two years in the State of CaliforniaPresently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required
