Always People First JOB SUMMARY This position oversees all Quality Control Analytical Laboratory policies, procedures, and practices that establish systems compliant with GMP regulations and expectations of domestic and international regulatory agencies. They will be responsible for the coordination of workflow in the Analytical Laboratory including the minimization of sample cycle time, ensuring the labs maintain conformance to established quality expectations, GMP, FDA and OSHA compliance, and controlling the quality of OTC products and maintains the records and documents. WHAT YOU WILL DO You will supervise a team of Analytical Chemists and Laboratory Technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. You will ensure all inspections, testing, and OTC documentation—including SOPs—are current, accurate, and properly stored in accordance with applicable systems and regulatory requirements. You will perform and manage Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution in compliance with GMP guidelines. Maintain retains of inspection samples. You will oversee the maintenance and calibration of all analytical instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of laboratory supplies. You will communicate product release timing and status updates to relevant stakeholders to support operational planning and alignment. You will create, review, and approve technical documentation including protocols, reports, and SOPs to ensure clarity, compliance, and audit readiness. You will own and enforce housekeeping standards within the laboratory to maintain a clean, safe, and inspection-ready environment. You will provide in-lab support to troubleshoot technical issues, mentor staff, and reinforce best practices in real time. You will train staff and evaluate performance through structured feedback and development plans. You will manage team schedules to support plant operations and ensure adequate coverage across shifts and functions. You will stay abreast of industry standards and advancements. Recommend and implement innovative solutions—such as automation—to improve lab efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness. WHO YOU ARE You have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or a related field is required. You have 3-5 years of experience in Quality department (OTC Cosmetics industry) with demonstrated ability to identify, define and implement quality systems. You have solid knowledge of GMP systems as applied to ISO 22716 and OTC Cosmetics and drug products. You have knowledge and understanding of domestic & international regulations (FDA, TGA, HPB and ICH), guidelines and practices for cosmetics and OTC products. You have strong knowledge of analytical methods and practices. You have a strong drive to deliver business goals and identify new opportunities. You ensure long-term success by creating objectives and committing resources to sustain the future of the organization. You demonstrate the ability to set and communicate clear standards and expectations. You develop and support an open environment where challenge is viewed positively. You are aware of your own impact and what drives and motivates others. You can provide coaching and feedback to help employees perform at their best. You can read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. You can write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as effectively present information and respond to questions from all stakeholders. You can efficiently define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. You can interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. You have a Six Sigma certification (highly desired but not required). Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience.
