Core Laboratory Central Processing Supervisor - Evening Shift

Location: Boston Teaching Hospital

  • Evening Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM ($3/hr evening differential).
  • Must be ASCP certified (or equivalent).
  • Sign-on bonus eligible.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination of daily operations in the front office of the core laboratory.
  • Manage all pre-analytical and post-analytical activities during the evening shift, collaborating closely with the day shift MT Operations Coordinator, reference lab team, and other relevant staff.
  • Guarantee that all processes and policies comply with governmental regulations and hospital protocols.
  • Oversee daily management tasks, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, training, policy development, compliance, and safety measures.
  • Team size: Approximately 25 full-time equivalents (FTEs).
  • Report directly to the Technical Director of Pre/Post Analytics in the Core Laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related physical science.
  • 4+ years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of pre/post analytics and central processing.
  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: Experience managing non-exempt hourly staff.
