Mercyhealth employees have access to our internal and external employee assistance programs, employee-only discount packages, paid parental and caregiver leaves, on-demand pay, special payment programs for patient services, and financial education to help with retirement planningJob Duties:Proficiently collect other samples as indicated including throat swabs, MRSA swabs, urine samples, heel sticks, finger sticks, blood cultures and blood bank specimens.Assure specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following appropriate procedures.Provides patient instruction in the collection and handling of personally collected specimens.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent peferred.Successful completion of a phlebotomy course and/or previous phlebotomy experience preferred.Experience as a Paramedic, EMT, CNA and/or MA helpful.
