JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSThe Penn State College of Engineering is seeking to fill a part-time graduate program support position to assist with various administrative duties at the University Park campus.Duties include but are not limited to:Assisting with planning graduate recruitment eventsEngaging in verbal and written communication with prospective students regarding the application process, campus visits and application status.Preparing acceptance/rejection lettersProviding support to the full time Academic Program CoordinatorThis position is a part-time position, with an average of - hours per week, and will offer a hybrid work arrangement that combines remote and on campus working. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.Qualifications:Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages.Excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and within a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with different audiences.Graduate program experience preferred but not required.BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESEmployment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICSPursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 8, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
