Mechanical Engineering InternLooking for a Mechanical or Manufacturing focused student who will work with Senior level Engineers in the building, testing, and evaluation of RF microwave components, designing fixtures for Assy and Test for production engineering. Candidate will have some hands-on background in PCB building, fabrication, and testing, understand machining techniques, and some exposure to microwave principles. Will be involved in short term projects involving use of 3D printer. High level of organizational skill ideal.During the 12 weeks each Intern will:> Begiven an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals> Gain hands on experience> Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision> Be invited to attend an intern webinar series> Attend networking/social events> Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls> Receive formal, written feedbackQualifications:Minimum Junior grade levelSolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD acceptableAdditive Manufacturing experience desired.Experience using machine shop tools very useful.Able to work independently with limited direction given.Familiar with material properties and selection process.Ansys or other simulation software background usefulRF/Microwave and electrical circuit theory classwork helpfulPCB fabrication background useful but not necessary.Eager to learn and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
