POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for reviewing referrals for outpatient infusion medications and treatments, coordinating with clinical staff to assess patient clinical needs against established treatment guidelines and standards, collecting and submitting necessary clinical documentation for referral, communicating with patient insurance providers, and coordinating with infusion services providers to ensure patients receive appropriate infusion care. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience 1-2 years prior pharmaceutical knowledge/experience or 1-2 years prior insurance experience with pre-certification expertise Required Registration/License/Certification Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician License Active and Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification Preferred Education Associates degree Preferred Experience 2 years pharmacy/infusion services experience or 2 years insurance experience with pre-certification expertise Preferred Registration/License/Certification N/A Other Requirements N/A
