Field Technical Service Representative

Overview The Field Service Representative 1 is an entry level position. Dive into an exciting role where you’ll manage and maintain Sharp equipment across your territory. Responsibilities • Collaborates with and receives mentorship from experienced Field Service Technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing cutting-edge Sharp equipment within a designated territory.• Resolve at least 85% of service calls independently post-training, striving for mastery in equipment maintenance.• Conducts mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as per Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.• Interprets schematics and conducts electrical troubleshooting, including our complete digital product line.• Handles customer relations independently, escalating complex situations as necessary.• Manages parts inventory efficiently to support smooth operations.• Completes administrative tasks promptly and accurately.• Collaborates with colleagues and management to achieve service goals and maintain a positive work environment. • Reports equipment performance issues to the Branch Field Service Manager and any steps you have taken to resolve them.• Assists with additional duties as assigned by the Branch Field Service Manager. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.Technical vocational schooling desirable (electronics or electro-mechanical preferred), or experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.Must possess or achieve Comptia A+ certification within one (1) year of hire.Must possess strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.Must successfully complete Sharp equipment pre-testing and training.Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.Valid Drivers License, and Automobile insurance within company guidelines.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites.Requires frequent kneeling and bending and considerable use of hands and tools. Walking great lengths at a time.Frequently requires moving or lifting of up to 50 pounds and able to lift 75 on occasion.Exposure to live electrical circuits.Exposure to extreme environmental conditions. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location.
