Our culinary team creates nourishing, seasonal, and delicious food experiences rooted in wellness, flavor, and simplicity. We’re looking for a Prep Cook to join our back-of-house family and help us keep things, prepped, fresh, and clean.The Role:As a Prep Cook, you’ll be the backbone of the kitchen, responsible for prepping ingredients, receiving and storing deliveries, and ensuring our kitchen remains sanitized. You’ll assist the chefs, support your teammates, and make sure every bite starts with the right foundation.What You'll Do:Prep vegetables, sauces, and recipes as directed by the Executive Chef and Sous ChefsHelp prepare daily staff mealsStock and maintain the cafeteria with food, condiments, and essentialsReceive, check in, label, and rotate deliveries following F.I.F.O. standardsIce and maintain seafood products and manage meltwater properlyEnsure all food is labeled, dated, covered, and stored properlyMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep station at all timesFollow all kitchen safety standards when handling sharp tools and hot/cold itemsShow up on time, in full uniform, and ready to work with a positive attitudeWhat We're Looking For:Basic food knowledge and understanding of kitchen operationsPrior prep or kitchen experience (hotel, spa, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus)Strong knife skills, with knowledge of basic knife cuts (and keeping those knives sharp)Ability to read, follow, and carry out recipes and instructions accuratelyOrganizational and sanitation skills—you thrive in a clean, well-ordered kitchenDependability, punctuality, and professionalism—you show up on time, in full clean uniform, and ready to contributeA collaborative, respectful approach—you work well with others and jump in wherever neededPositive attitude and adaptability—you can stay cool and calm when the kitchen heats upMust bring and maintain your own knives and toolsPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and work on your feet for at least 8 hours a dayComfortable seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects with hands (often while multitasking)Safe handling of sharp tools, slicers, and other kitchen equipmentExposure to hot ovens, cold storage, and sometimes flammable kitchen materialsAbility to lift, carry, move, and push up to 50 lbs regularlyOccasional kneeling, crouching, sitting, or climbing as tasks require
