At the SF Fed, we approach our work with integrity and a commitment to service.The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Salt Lake City branch, is seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to add to our team.The Lead Facilities Engineer, under the guidance and direction from the Manager, or Assistant Manager works independently or as an assistant, in performing the inspection, operations, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of building systems.Location: Federal Reserve Bank – Salt Lake City Branch (100% on-site)120 South State StreetSalt Lake City, UT 84111 Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwnership of building comfort and ongoing attention to BAS system.Identifies and provides solutions to problems and performs advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of equipment.Completion of Safety Certification and all other assigned safety training.Acts as project manager for small projects and repairs. Includes POC for vendors and regular updates on progress.Using an advanced level of knowledge, troubleshoot major building system(s).Proactively completes all projects assigned including updates and closeout packages.May act as shift lead as assigned. Works with other engineers in installing, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the equipment and components of the items under Additional Responsibilities:Electrical Distribution - including but not limited to main and branch power distribution panels, emergency generators, UPS, transfer switches, load bank, transformers, motor controllers, contractors, breakers, relays, sensors, switches, conduits and wiring.Environmental Control - including but not limited to boilers, chillers, AC units, humidifiers, compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, pumps, piping, motors, electric and pneumatic controls, valves, variable frequency drives, PLCs, building automation system and other apparatus used in the distribution of heated, chilled, domestic or processed water and air.Specialty Building Systems - including but not limited to fire/life safety, access control, fire suppression, kitchen equipment, mail conveyor, currency residue transport/compaction and fuel filtering and delivery.Assist service vendors, support construction projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.Sets the bar of expectation of cleanliness in all work areas, such as the electrical and mechanical spaces, building services shops, cubicles and storage locations.Responds to Bank employees and other building staff needs through service requests and project assignments, such as temperature adjustment, calibrations, light and plumbing fixture repairs, electrical circuit modifications, installation of carpet tiles, lock and door hardware.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or general education degree (GED)8+ years of related experienceCan be required to work around operating machinery with electrical components and moving parts and thus a high degree of concentration is necessary.Broad expertise in a wide variety of industry concepts, practices, procedures and system applications.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.Basic to intermediate level proficiency in using MS Office Suite and E-mailUnderstanding and operating Building Automation System, i.e. Metasys and Automated Logic.Must adhere to and follow safety requirements.Other specific certifications as required on Skill Assessment MatrixPreferred:Certifications in tradesBase Salary Range: Min: $71,800 - Mid: $93,200 - Max: $114,800 (Location: Salt Lake City)Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.Benefits At the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, we offer a wonderful benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pretax Flexible Spending Account, Paid Family Leave Care, Backup Child Care Program, Pretax Day Care Flexible Spending Account, Vacation Days, Sick Days, Paid Holidays, Pet Insurance, Matching 401(k), and an unheard-of Retirement / Pension. The Bank is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions and receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
