Trademark Docket Specialist

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Trademark Docket Specialist for the Trademark and Copyright practice group Trademark Support Unit. Reporting to the Manager of Trademark Portfolio Services, this position assists and supports our growing trademark portfolio management practice This position will reside in our Washington, D.C. office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Regular working hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility with overtime is required. Primary responsibilities include: Monitors, reviews, and extracts information from trademark offices, local counsel, staff, and clients globally for entry into our docketing database Identifies and communicates pertinent deadlines to lawyers and paralegals on a daily basis Works with our attorneys and paralegals to ensure all deadlines are satisfied by assessing correspondence and proof of filings Programs, runs, prints, and distributes docket reports to attorneys and staff Assists with the intake of new trademark portfolios Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Post high school education and experience with CPI preferred At least two years of trademark docketing experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work Self-starter with a professional demeanor and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity using a CRM system, and ability to adapt to new software programs Candidates must possess a team-oriented attitude #LI-Hybrid #LI-FM1 For positions in Washington D.C., the salary range for this job posting is $56,708.00 - $90,732.50. The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
