ABOUT THE ROLEThe Field Services Coordinator (FSC) I will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with the day-to-day operations of an assigned electrical substation construction project. The FSC will be in the field and job locations will vary based on ongoing projects. Essential FunctionsReview plans and specifications to develop and implement the quality planPrepare checklist of definable features of work which require quality inspectionsAssist with cost estimates and project scheduling as neededEnsure maintenance of accurate recordsAssist with preparation of statements of work, submittals, change management and necessary daily and weekly reportingPromote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirementsInspect equipment, material, workmanship and finished constructionCheck progress of work in the field to ensure compliance with productivities and schedulesObserve work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed, and the materials used conform to required specificationsDevelop and maintain quality control and assurance (QAQC) proceduresCoordinate material/inventory monitoring and equipment trackingAssist crews with material, tooling and equipment needsAssist project manager with client submittals and RFI'sCommunicate between office staff and field employeesRegular and predictable attendanceEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationOther duties as assignedUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards ABOUT YOUQualifications6 to 18 months of related experience in field construction management preferredBachelors degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to travel extensively for long periods of timeAbility to read blueprints and interpret applicable construction documentsProven ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneouslyProficiency with MS Excel, Word and OutlookMust enjoy working in an outdoor construction environmentThorough understanding of processes done in the field as well as in the office WHAT WE OFFERCompensation & BenefitsSalary commensurate with experience, paid weekly.Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
