Join a high-performance team committed to shaping the future of mobility—with opportunity, purpose, and growth at every turn.   TOOL AND DIE TECHNICIAN   RESPONSIBLITIES: Interpret blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences, and machine/tool setup requirements. Fabricate new components from prints or replicate existing parts as needed. Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock in preparation for machining processes. Set up and operate a variety of tool room equipment, including lathes, drill presses, Bridgeport milling machines, and surface grinders; develop proficiency in their use. Polish die components by hand (bench/stone) to achieve a high-quality finish. Smooth and finish both flat and contoured surfaces to ensure proper fit and assembly of components and mechanisms. Confirm dimensional accuracy, alignments, and clearances throughout the production process. Establish inspection criteria and use a full range of precision measuring and gauging instruments to inspect parts before, during, and after machining. Perform manual operations required for the fabrication of jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Participate in any required training or coursework to support skill development and completion of the training program. Operate all machinery and perform job duties in compliance with MIOSHA regulations and company safety protocols, using required personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, sleeves, earplugs). QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, and scales. Skilled in identifying problems, gathering and analyzing data, and drawing accurate, logical conclusions. Possess 2–3 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
