Location: Tyson’s Corner, VA Job Title: Residential Construction Project Manager  The Residential Construction Project Manager is a high-responsibility role responsible for leading custom home and remodeling projects from inception through completion. This individual will manage schedules, budgets, and contracts while serving as the client’s main point of contact.This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or architecture, the ability to manage funds across multiple projects, and the expertise to take the lead with solutions in a high-pressure environment.Responsibilities and Expectations: Project Leadership & Management Lead all phases of assigned custom home and remodeling projects: planning, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, and project closeout. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal team members, maintaining a high level of customer service.Coordinate with the design team, owner, and construction team to ensure alignment and effectively manage scope changes.Develop "look-ahead" schedules, manage critical path activities, and lead project meetings, status updates, and closeout reviews.Proactively identify risks, issues, and roadblocks; develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Financial Control & Administration Create, maintain, and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking systems.Administer contracts, manage change orders, and rigorously control project costs and contingencies. (This includes managing funds across multiple projects.) Produce regular project reports (cost, schedule, safety, risk, change orders) for internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrate strong knowledge of takeoffs to support accurate budgeting and procurement.Quality & Compliance Ensure quality assurance/quality control and maintain adherence to safety standards (in collaboration with site personnel).Ensure all project closeout deliverables are completed (as-builts, warranties, final inspections, punch lists, client handover).Utilize deep understanding of construction methods, building codes, and quality standards to solve problems effectively.Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction field, with knowledge of residential construction. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.Proven track record in managing construction/renovation projects, overseeing budgets, scheduling, and team coordination.Must possess a clean driver’s license Experience with project management software Buildertrend is required.Experience with Autocad software or similar is required.Strong contract administration, cost control, change management, and procurement skills.Ability to lead, make decisions, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic project environments.Experience in planning and permits within local counties is a huge plus.Bilingual experience in both business lines is a huge plus.What Can We Do for You?Compensation: Earn $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
