Key Responsibilities: As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in our financial operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of financial data related to real estate development projects. This position requires a seasoned accounting professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including a strong background in public accounting and deep knowledge of the real estate development industry. Responsibilities Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes for real estate development projects, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and producing financial reports. Monitor and manage project costs, including construction expenses, land acquisition costs, and development-related expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations. Work closely with vendors, reviewing and coding invoices, ensuring accuracy, and processing payments in a timely manner. Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies. Consolidate internal and external financial ledgers, reconciling intercompany accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the entire organization. Maintain and monitor project cash flows, ensuring adequate funding for development activities and identifying potential cash flow challenges. Conduct in-depth financial analysis of real estate development projects, assessing investment returns, profitability, and risk factors. Provide insights to support decision-making. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial data and documentation. Handle various administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping, document management, and other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on real estate development. AIA billing, construction draws, and development project cost tracking. Strong knowledge of GAAP or Yardi and industry-specific accounting principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in MS Excel
