NATIONAL YOUTH AND JUSTICE REFORM DIRECTOR **100% Remote 100% Flexible Schedule** POSITION OVERVIEW Voice Up connects people to their purpose and is seeking a visionary National Youth and Justice Reform Director to lead the integration of our Purpose Metric and Mental Health programs across youth services and justice systems nationwide. This position will transform how we approach youth development and justice reform through purpose-driven behavioral health frameworks. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader who understands complex ecosystems and can maximize diverse talents to achieve our mission: connecting at-risk youth and justice-involved individuals to their purpose through innovative mental health habits. This role requires someone who can envision a comprehensive framework where justice systems become vehicles for purpose discovery and rehabilitation. MISSION IMPACT As the National Youth and Justice Reform Director, you will expand Voice Up's global movement that currently serves students across 100+ universities to reach youth in detention centers, diversion programs, and rehabilitation facilities. Working with innovative partner organizations, you will help trailblaze a new approach to mental and behavioral health support for justice-involved youth who can become our future leaders, entrepreneurs, and community builders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ### Purpose Metric Implementation & Expansion - **National Adoption Strategy:** Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to introduce the five-minute Purpose Metric assessment across youth justice systems. - **Staff Education:** Create training programs that equip juvenile justice professionals and youth counselors to utilize purpose profiles for enhanced youth development. - **Impact Measurement:** Implement systems to track the effects of purpose-driven development on recidivism rates, educational outcomes, and individual wellbeing. - **Cross-Sector Integration:** Bridge justice departments with educational institutions, community organizations, and rehabilitation services to create holistic support systems. ### Youth Mental Health Internship Program - **Program Expansion:** Scale our remote Youth Mental Health Internship program nationally, creating opportunities for justice-involved youth and students interested in justice reform. - **Curriculum Development:** Refine and enhance internship content focused on youth psychology, justice reform, and purpose-driven leadership. - **Mentorship Network:** Establish a national network of justice professionals and reformed individuals who can serve as mentors. - **Institutional Partnerships:** Secure formal arrangements with juvenile justice facilities, courts, and diversion programs across the country. ### Ecosystem Development - **Youth Justice Integration:** Create developmentally appropriate adaptations of the Purpose Metric for youth in various stages of the justice system. - **State and Federal Relationships:** Build strategic partnerships with state and federal juvenile justice departments to implement the Purpose Metric at institutional levels. - **Community Reintegration Connections:** Establish relationships with organizations focused on successful community reentry. - **Cross-Discipline Adaptation:** Ensure the Purpose Metric and internship programs effectively address diverse needs within the youth justice population. ### Thought Leadership & Advocacy - **Public Speaking:** Represent Voice Up at national conferences, workshops, and policy forums as a thought leader in purpose-driven justice reform. - **Content Creation:** Contribute to Make The Difference publication and other Voice Up media platforms with insights on youth justice, purpose, and mental health. - **Research Collaboration:** Partner with Voice Up's Research Division to advance understanding of how purpose discovery impacts rehabilitation and recidivism. - **Policy Engagement:** Advocate for purpose-driven approaches in justice reform policy at local, state, and federal levels. ## QUALIFICATIONS ### Experience & Expertise - **Justice Reform Background:** Minimum 3+ years of experience in youth services, juvenile justice, or related fields with demonstrated success in developing youth holistically. - **Program Implementation:** Proven track record of successfully implementing innovative programs across multiple organizations or levels of justice systems. - **Mental Health Advocacy:** Demonstrated commitment to advancing mental health awareness and support within youth service and justice contexts. - **Organizational Leadership:** Experience in executive or senior leadership roles with responsibility for strategic vision and program execution. ### Network & Relationships - **National Connections:** Strong existing network of justice professionals, youth advocates, and policy makers who trust and respect the candidate's perspective and vision. - **Cross-Sector Relationships:** Established connections across justice departments, educational institutions, and community organizations. - **Influence Capacity:** Ability to leverage personal credibility to open doors and facilitate program adoption at institutional levels. ### Knowledge & Skills - **Justice Ecosystem Understanding:** Comprehensive knowledge of juvenile justice systems and how different components interact and influence outcomes. -
