Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital is looking for a CVTs or experienced veterinary technicians interested in a growing leadership position to join our busy specialty and emergency practice located in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Plymouth Meeting, PA.


Hickory is a family owned, third generation AAHA accredited hybrid specialty hospital with 18+ full time doctors including a full time criticalist, neurologist, multiple surgeons, oncologist and many other part-time specialties. We also have full time general practice doctors and 24/7 experienced emergency doctors on staff, as well as two VTS ECC technicians who love training the team


This position to be filled is a full-time lead veterinary technician. Lead technicians work on the emergency floor with colleagues while given more responsibilities to promote practice culture, lead the team forward in a productive way and problem solve with management on ways to make the veterinary technician position at Hickory sustainable. Leads help provide the best patient care during their shifts while creating a healthy and caring work environment. The position is primarily leading on floor, with at least 1-2 hours per week dedicated to leadership meetings and additional CE. Lead technicians work closely to create and change protocols with management in the hospital as well as the hospital owners. Scheduled hours worked would be in shifts that fall between the hours of 6:00 am – 10:00 pm, working a minimum of 32 hours per week for full time status and no on call time required. This job is seeking technicians either with leadership experience or those interested in making a difference in the field, and we are happy to grow leadership skills together
