Technical Sales Support Specialist

Position: Direct Hire.
Location: Highland, IL (MUST BE LOCAL).
Salary: The company anticipates filling the Technical Sales Support Specialist position with an expected compensation range of $61,000 - $68,000. They are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. The pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. Starting pay and job title are based on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
Bonus Potential: No.
Hours: M – F (8 to 5).
Schedule: On-site.
Travel: Some.
Status: Must be a US citizen.
Reports To: Technical Sales Support & Product Training Manager.
Start: ASAP.

Summary: Our customer is looking for someone to provide sales support to customers and company field sales offices utilizing technical knowledge of company products and their application. This position is located at the Highland, IL Corporate Office. They want local candidates. This position handles technical support calls for company products. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology is preferred. They will consider an associate's degree in electronics if the candidate has a background in technical support of custom electronic manufactured products.

Job Duties:
Assist customers in the proper selection of company products, installation, calibration, and minor troubleshooting.
Travel, as required, to determine product potential, customer needs, and assist in the sale of products.
Maintain proper communication with assigned sales territories to ensure that sales support is provided as may be required in sales plans.
Arrange and conduct meetings with customers at company headquarters.
Present company products, systems, and problem solutions to customers at conferences as scheduled by sales personnel.
Assist in promotional activities including trade shows.
Interface and communication with marketing personnel to provide market feedback for successful product specifications and development.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Electronics, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology preferred.
Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Good communication skills.
Experienced in Microsoft Office.
Minimum one years of experience on all company products is preferred.
Willingness to travel into assigned territories
