Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHealthcare Staffing Professionals, HSP is looking for Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work in a hospital setting located in Philadelphia, PA. The EM Advanced Practice Provider (APP/NP/PA) will deliver expert, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive pay, and the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled medical team.
This position is an Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: $115/hr
Locations: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: 7a-7p 7p-7a

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing procedures within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care as needed.
  • Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and state regulations governing advanced practice roles.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Philadelphia.
  • DEA license and ability to prescribe medications.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency medicine
  • Proficiency in emergency procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Preferred: ATLS
  • Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions.
