Proposal Director

Other responsibilities include:
- Oversee the entire Design-Build and Best Value proposal process, including planning, research, writing, editing, and quality control.
- Review solicitation requirements, assess resource needs, and establish proposal schedules.
- Collaborate with Division leadership on meeting preparation, debriefing, SWOT analysis, and development of value propositions.
- Work with technical teams to create win strategies, tailored content, and persuasive messaging.
- Develop compliance matrices, annotated outlines, and proposal plans, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate and timely proposal submissions.
- Lead key proposal phases, including kickoff meetings, reviews, and production.
- Ensure all stakeholders align on proposal scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Supervise and guide Marketing Assistants and Coordinators during the proposal process.
- Assist in interview strategies and presentation preparation for Owners and key marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a proposal content database to ensure consistency and streamline future proposals.
- Serve as the lead editor and ensure high-quality, tailored proposal content.
- Design logos, templates, and digital content for proposals and collaborative teams.
- Manage award submissions and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of relevant AEC proposal experience.
- 2-3 years of Public Owner design-build experience with pursuits over $50M.
- Experience with municipalities, federal, public agencies, and private owners.
- Familiarity with agency/owner portal maintenance.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience managing staff and resources to meet concurrent deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to diverse organizational levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent writing, editing, and organization skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing schedules with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Willingness to travel for client and consultant meetings as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime or be on-call to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to developing marketing, design, and writing skills through ongoing training.
