This role requires strong expertise in *test automation (Java-based)*, API testing, quality engineering practices, and the ability to lead testing efforts in an Agile environment. You will be responsible for *both manual and automation testing*, designing test strategies, and mentoring junior team members. *Key Responsibilities**Test Leadership & Execution** Perform *manual and automation testing* across features, capabilities, and applications. * Act as a *team lead*, guiding and mentoring junior QA engineers and owning code reviews. * Develop comprehensive *test strategies* in an Agile environment. * Analyze business requirements to develop and execute test cases (manual + automation). * Handle complex testing assignments independently without close supervision. *Testing & Automation Expertise** Competent in all phases of testing: *regression, system, integration, UAT, performance*, and end-to-end validations. * Design and build *automation frameworks*, particularly in Java (Junit, Cucumber, JBehave). * Develop automation scripts for *CI/CD pipelines* and test execution environments. * Perform *API test automation*, including REST API validation and integration with 3rd-party systems. * Conduct integrated and acceptance testing requiring detailed planning and timely delivery. *Collaboration & Communication** Communicate with *product owners, developers, end users, and internal teams* to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and improve product quality. * Document defects, track status, and ensure timely resolution. * Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing QA expertise and continuous improvement suggestions. *Additional Responsibilities** Work independently on complex technical issues and infrastructure components. * Drive testing efforts focused on delivering *business-valuable features*. * Support debugging efforts, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure test completeness. *Required Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. * *10+ years* of software testing experience (or 7+ years with a Master’s degree). * *7+ years* of automation framework design & development. * *Hands-on coding experience* in Java (Required), Python, or C++. * Strong experience with: * *Java / JUnit** *Cucumber / JBehave / BDD Frameworks** *REST API testing** *SQL and relational databases** Proven experience writing automation scripts, test cases, and test data. * Strong background in *full-stack testing*, third-party integration, and microservices validation. *Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)** Experience with *API gateways* (Apigee or similar). * Knowledge of *DevOps tools* such as Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines. * Experience with *TDD*, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. * Load and performance testing experience. * Working experience in Agile/Scrum (minimum 2 years). * Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills. xrczosw * Ability to operate in a fast-moving and complex technical environment.
