*Purpose and Responsibilities: *Develop and verify all levels of numerical controlled programs for the machine shop. Also, develop associated tooling, set-up and process data. Some fixture design may be included. While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required. *MAJOR TASKS:** Develop CNC programs, * Develop documentation, * Enter part geometry into CAD/CAM system for new and existing programs, * Provide ideas and input on tooling design, * Revise existing CNC programs, * Specify and order cutting tools, * Develop CNC machining processes, * Troubleshoot machine and fixture problems, * Troubleshoot quality problems relating to machining, * Work to continually improve processes, * Read and interpret drawings and computer designs, * Be willing to work extended periods of overtime when job requires, * Work with vendors as well as customers in problem solving and process improvement, * Verify CNC programs guarantee they are correct. *WORKER QUALIFICATIONS:** Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, * Strong trigonometry and Geometry math skills, * Ability to write legibly, * Ability to design, read and interpret blueprints, * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and graphic packages, * Working knowledge of cutting tools, machining tool controls, machining fixtures and machining processes, *EXPERIENCE:* Minimum of 5 years CNC Machine Programming experience required.
