Systems Administrator - Mid

General Position Description:

XSITE LLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Mid-Level Systems Administrator. The selected candidate will conduct onsite software installation and development lab support, with responsibilities for system and network configurations, data migration, and system verifications at customer sites and in the local development lab. This role also involves supporting project managers with site surveys, quality control, and documentation. Military experience is highly desired. The candidate will work closely with team members to identify and solve emerging problem areas.

Job Description:

The Systems Administrator will:
- Conduct onsite software installation at customer locations, including system and network configurations, data migration, and system verification on various iterations of the project software.
- Provide development lab support in San Diego when not traveling, assisting the internal development team with system configurations, software testing, and troubleshooting.
- Support project managers by conducting site surveys, ensuring quality control on projects, and assisting with project documentation.
- Provide weekly updates on the status of projects and status reports to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and solve emerging problem areas during installations and lab support.
- Support the configuration and operation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) hardware platforms.
- Work with network configurations involving media converters, printers, firewalls, proxies, and various networking protocols.
- Use software tools including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), LCAM, ASAP, Oracle, SAP, and GEN.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (military experience accepted). Four years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- 5 years of experience in software installation, system and network configuration, and troubleshooting in complex environments, preferably with military systems.
- Experience with Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred) is a strong plus.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, Security+, Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Routing & Switching certifications.
- Experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) hardware platforms.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking, including media converters, printers, firewalls, proxies, and networking protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), LCAM, ASAP, Oracle, SAP, and GEN.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Clearance Requirements:

- Minimum Secret Clearance required, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI.

Location and Travel Requirements:

The position is based in San Diego, CA, with approximately 20% travel. The candidate will be required to travel internationally for up to three weeks at a time, 3 to 4 times a year, to locations such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, or the U.K.

Timing:

XSITE anticipates a start date of early January.

Salary Range:

$80,000 to $115,000 annually.
