On the surface, 1UP Floors is just a flooring company that puts new floors in Apartments (not the general public/residential). 1UP is looking for someone to join our Customer Service Department as a Service Samurai. Our Service Samurai Team  is the single most important component of our organization. We take the servicing of our customers VERY seriously, and won’t let just anybody talk to them in 1UP’s name. At this point you may be asking yourself how serious we are about the service we provide. Look up the definition of “fanatical” for a reference point. If that sounds totally reasonable, then please, check out the required skill set…


 

  • A minimum of two years in the customer service field.

  • An amazing phone presence… people can actually hear you smile through the phone.

  • Ability to politely assist happy or poopy customers with challenges, regardless of your mood.

  • Firm grasp of the English language, both written and verbal. You can write emails or have conversations at a high level, while putting personality into both.

  • Computers don’t scare or intimidate you, you can easily learn new systems.

  • Basic math is something you mastered long ago.

  • You get along with people of all kinds; we’re a family like that.

  • Problems and challenges don’t phase you, they excite you. You think “big picture” and work 2 steps ahead to suss out possible challenges.

  • Thick skin. We use candid communication for increased efficiency which means we are direct, so we have no room for egos here.

  • You’re practiced at selflessness and will put the group’s wants/needs above your own.
