Our team is seeking an Onboard Signaling Test Technician. The main role will be to support the Engineer on carrying out the vehicle retrofit and signaling testing. The responsibility includes executing the test activities over Onboard/railway systems and ensure that the Test & Commissioning process is executed in a proper manner and in compliance to standards, regulations, and local laws. The role will be supporting the engineers on troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues. The candidate will ensure identification of non-conformities, defects and workmanship issues.

Title:                   ONBOARD SIGNALING TEST TECHNICIAN

Compensation:  Up to $50 per hour

Location:            Miami, Florida

Shifts:                 NIGHT SHIFT -  10:00PM to 6:00 AM  (may require day meetings or training availability)

This technician will also be trained to work with wayside systems such as Object Controllers, CBTC Radios, Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Data Comm. System (DCS).

Key responsibilities:

●Support the Engineers on configuring servers and equipment Analyse logs to validate the system. Record results in Test Reports and present the gap analysis to the validation team.

●To report to the Test Engineer team significant deviations proposing action plans to recover delays. Daily report.

●Execute tests and troubleshoot failures and NCR. Support the hydraulic/mechanical installation and testing of the track switches.

●Record NCR, making the appropriate record on the test sheets and reporting the results to system validation and the punch list roll-out. Support the management on tracking and raising NCRs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

·      Technical degree in electrical, Electronic Engineering or related fields.

·      Minimum 4 years of previous relevant experience as a test engineer, transit signaling, and wayside systems would be a plus.

·      Experience in subsystems such as VATC (principal). Experience on ATP, ATO, ATS, Radio and Network is a plus.

·      Installation, Testing and Commissioning.

·      Railway experience is a plus.

·      Knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD, MS Office

·      Valid Driver’s License

 

  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug test and must be fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus
