Quality Control Manager – Advanced Manufacturing
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager for a leading contract manufacturing company specializing in the production of complex medical parts, semiconductor capital equipment, aerospace defense, and industrial components. Position Overview
- Position Title: Quality Control Manager
- Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Available Shifts: Weekdays
- Pay Range: $90,000 -105,000 per year DOE
As the Quality Control Manager, you will oversee and ensure the quality of all parts manufactured, developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols that comply with industry standards. You will lead a dedicated team of quality inspectors and collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and clients to ensure top-tier product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and manage quality control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations like ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, AS9100:2016, and ITAR registration. Lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals to achieve excellence.
- Inspection & Testing: Oversee inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet stringent quality standards. Assist in inspections to maintain workflow.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify quality improvement areas, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvement initiatives to minimize defects.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document inspection results, corrective actions, and RMAs. Prepare detailed reports for internal review and client assurance.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand and meet their quality requirements, addressing concerns promptly.
- Training & Development: Lead training sessions on quality assurance protocols and inspection techniques, ensuring staff are cross-trained in all equipment and processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications like ASQ Certified Quality Manager are a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control role within contract manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, quality control software, CNC machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to mentor and develop a team, solve problems effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on identifying defects and ensuring part consistency.
