The inside sales professional is an aggressive, success-oriented individual with a proven record of exceeding sales targets, a high level of commitment and a strong desire to be part of a small top-notch sales team. This person sells INS solutions directly to new prospects and existing manufacturing customers, via the telephone and web presentations.

This role has responsibility for the entire sales cycle. Based on a number of variables, including deal size and complexity, the effort may focus on supporting outside Sales Executives in identifying and then moving an opportunity through the sales funnel; or it may completely rely on the inside efforts to identify, move and close.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about INS solution offerings.
  • Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships.
  • Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, web presentation, negotiation and close.
  • Achieve sales objectives as defined for both existing and new customers.
  • Use effective time management to maximize results.
  • Document daily sales activities in crm, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline and perform other tasks necessary to drive sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management.
  • Be an active team player on the sales team, with the outside Sales Executives, technical support team, business partners and management to help meet company objectives.
  • Work with Marketing to drive participation in events, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Operates under moderate supervision with frequent reviews of work.
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Position Requirements - Education, Experience & Training required:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in inside sales
  • At least 3 years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Comfortable talking to many levels in a manufacturing company including; engineers, operations, plant management, as well plant Director and VP level
  • Documented success achieving and exceeding assigned quotas
  • Consultative, solution based sales methodology

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and forecast
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Creative problem solver
  • Excellent telephone skills, with the ability to communicate value to different levels of a manufacturer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion & influence
  • Knowledge of B2B inside sales and marketing
  • Sales experience with software solutions is a strong plus
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent PC and Internet skills, including experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, sales force automation tools and web presentation applications (WebEx)
