 Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our busy Pulmonary and Medicine Office, supporting a team of 8 doctors. This role involves both check-in and check-out duties, as well as assisting with various administrative and clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in EPIC/Corewell EMR systems and capable of effectively managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check-In and Check-Out: Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, collect necessary information, and assist with pre-appointment requirements.
  • Multi-tasking: Handle a variety of tasks, including answering phones, responding to faxes, and assisting with patient flow.
  • Boarding Procedures: Support the clinical team with patient boarding processes.
  • EMR Management: Accurately input and update patient data using EPIC/Corewell EMR systems.
  • Clerical Support: Assist with scheduling, documentation, and other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, particularly in pulmonary or internal medicine, is preferred.
  • EMR Knowledge: Proficiency in EPIC/Corewell EMR systems is a must.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with patients, doctors, and office staff.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing patient records, appointments, and boarding procedures.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy medical office environment.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a busy medical office or specialty practice is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pulmonary or internal medicine is beneficial but not required.
