Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Kissimmee, Florida.  This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization  
 
Responsibilities:  

  • Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services under physician supervision.
  • Assist in office and minor surgical procedures, as well as patient and family education as directed by the physician.
  • Perform venipuncture under the direction of a physician or advanced care practitioner.
  • Contact patients to deliver test results, physician instructions, and schedule necessary visits.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and triage calls.
  • Handle all laboratory duties, including drawing, spinning, and prepping blood for testing, maintaining logs, and coordinating with independent lab services.

Qualifications: 

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Over 1 year of experience

Additional Information:  

  • Location:  Kissimmee, FL
  • Job Type: contract to hire.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
  • Pay Range: $ 17.00 to 23.00/hour.  

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
