Description

SetPoint Medical’s acting Supply Chain Analyst (SCA) will operate cross-functionally working with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Program Management, Clinical, and Purchasing departments to ensure effective management of production builds in a timely and cost-effective way. The candidate will be highly organized and have experience in Class III medical device manufacturing processes and controls.

The SCA must be self-motivated, independent and able to work efficiently in a small team environment. A successful candidate will be able to multitask and adjust direction based on changing project and organization priorities. As SetPoint works exclusively through contract manufacturers, it is essential that the SCA have excellent communication skills.

This temporary position (7 - 8 months) is in office, Monday - Friday, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA.

Essential Functions:

  1. Maintain scheduling to ensure component builds, assembly builds, and in-house work orders are completed on time.
  2. Ensure the necessary components are available to complete production orders.
  3. Plan and prioritize manufacturing processes to ensure component and device availability.
  4. Prepare and maintain accurate detailed reporting to ensure agreed upon program and production schedules are being achieved.
  5. Prepare work instructions and process travelers when necessary.
  6. Maintain assembly and product level cost of goods (COGs).
  7. Prepare semi-annual supplier reports, including forecast, key performance indicators (KPIs), and yield rates.
  8. Coordinate and document supplier progress calls.
  9. Monitor jobs and report to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  10. Obtain and report supplier yield information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.).
  11. Support supplier management and supplier quality initiatives.
  12. Prepare quarterly supplier and manufacturing forecasts.
  13. Assist organization where needed.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

  1. 2 to 4 years of scheduling, production control, or purchasing experience in a Class III medical device company preferred.
  2. Start-up company experience preferred.
  3. Experience in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP).
  4. Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems.
  5. Strong math and statistical skills.
  6. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent communication abilities.
  8. High school diploma; further education or certification is preferred.
