Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies, specializing in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and support the billing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of infusion medical claims, including medications and related services.
- Refine billing policies and procedures to enhance compliance, efficiency, and operational outcomes.
- Provide hands-on support with claim denials, rejections, and manual submission processes to ensure resolution and timely reimbursement.
- Partner with clinical, intake, and nursing teams to ensure billing accuracy and seamless communication.
- Monitor and review claim submissions for adherence to insurance regulations, ICD-10 coding standards, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Keep the team informed on evolving billing guidelines, insurance requirements, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with external revenue cycle teams to analyze performance metrics and troubleshoot billing issues.
- Lead and actively participate in department projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years in healthcare receivables, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Minimum of 3 years in healthcare receivables with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Direct experience in infusion billing or pharmacy billing is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with billing software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Deep understanding of ICD-10 coding, billing, and reimbursement procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines.
- Strong communication skills with a solution-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships across teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
